Fox "is not a news organization"
Monday, October 19, 2009 |
Karen Howes This is rich.
White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel told CNN that President Obama does not want “the CNNs and the others in the world [to] basically be led in following Fox.”
Obama senior adviser David Axelrod went further by calling on media outlets to join the administration in declaring that Fox is “not a news organization.”
“Other news organizations like yours ought not to treat them that way,” Axelrod counseled ABC’s George Stephanopoulos. “We’re not going to treat them that way.”
Clearly, our socialist administration's idea of a "news organization" is one that obediently spews their lies and propaganda. Any news outlet that actually looks at facts and reports them is obviously just a mouthpiece of the increasingly impotent Republican party and is only interested in making money.
I know politicians are masters of manipulation, but I believe this sets a whole new record.
When a government openly attacks a news organization, that's precisely when we should start tuning in to that source. Fox News seems to be the only major news medium that has the guts to expose the rampant rot and corruption within the government. This is probably why their ratings are so much higher than CNN's and MSNBC's (yeah, you heard it from HuffPo).
If we go only to Obama News-- all Hopey-Change, all the time-- then we might as well be living in North Korea, China, or Iran, where the people literally see and hear only what their totalitarian governments want them to see and hear.
It's now undeniable that this administration is hostile to truth and to freedom, which makes sense; those who do evil prefer darkness and secrecy, the better to hide their deeds.
And this is the real reason they don't like Fox News.

We wonder sometimes why Obama does not do something stronger towards North Korea, China, et al., but when you think about it, why would he? These are the folks that he admires, these are his role models. He is trying to reshape America into a totalitarian state, and he certainly has nothing but the highest regard fro those who have already succeeded in doing so elsewhere.
Watch very carefully to see how long it will be before the Obama-DOJ and the FCC find some excuse to try to shut down FOX. They cannot tolerate this sort of criticism for very long; it just irritates them too much. They are deathly afraid that people will begin to wake up, that the Kool-Aid will wear off, and then they will not get their Utopia.
Not surprising Karen. Obama and his demented administration have always put down FOX News. I commend them and especially Glenn Beck and Hannity for putting the truth out there regardless if the White House whines and complains. They expose the truth behind the lies and deceit of the Left, the MSM, etc.
We must keep them in prayer, because if the cry-baby Obama gets his way, FOX News will be banned from the air-waves. He sounds like Nicolae from Left Behind.
Come on, now, people, take a step back and think about this a bit. As foolish as Obama has been in his decisions so far, this may have been his biggest mistake and a blessing in disquise. and one mistake if played right will be the mistake that brings his downfall. what does reverse psychology say when people are told not to do something?
you know, karen, you commented on my post of "politics of peace and war" that the quotes were scary. well, your post here is even scarier because we are seeing the beginning of those quotes coming true.
Dr. D, exactly-- why WOULD Obama take a stand against the tyranny that he himself works to bring about?
Leticia, I have no doubt that if Obama and his administration of jackals could do so, they'd shut down FOX and every other media outlet that didn't tow their line.
Griper, this is indeed his frightening vision coming true. However, you make a good point-- give him enough rope, he'll hang himself. Considering his plummeting popularity (I never hear many Dems or leftists lauding him these days), he's doing a good job of that. I only hope he can be ousted from office BEFORE 2012. We simply can't afford to wait that long.
I think there may be a hidden agenda. FOX has been devoting a large amount of time to the attacks. Is that then taking time away from covering heath care and the czars. the POTUS trying to take the initiative and put the opposition on the defensive. He wants people responding to him, not the other way around, that way, he can dictate the discussion. We have to keep in mind that he's a community organizer.
The only one on Fox that seems to think Obama is unaware of what the leftisit in his party are doing or saying is Bill O'Reilly. He is forever wanting to give Obama the benefit of the doubt.
To me, every time Obama opens his pie hole, he has diarrhea of the mouth. Have you noticed that just like Clinton, the media keeps say how intelligent Obama is? In reality both he Clinton are complete morons, but at least Obama is doing FOX a favor, he is boosting their ratings.
Karen! I lost your link and just found it again through Leticia's blog. Sorry, it wasn't intentional. I was absent-minded.
I posted on the same exact thing on my blog. I remember what Chris Wallace said several weeks ago: "This White House is the biggest bunch of cry babies I've seen in 30 years."
They are such drama queens! Unreal! It's also dangerous, too, because this is like the Mao or Chavez or Castro regime. Serious stuff, these idiots.
Oh, I updated your URL on my blog so I won't lose it again. :)
Well said Karen and i whole heartedly agree, piss off a leftist, head for the FOX.
Hussein is setting his evil agenda and our country is allowing it!!!..ugh!..no more free speech Karen!! :)
Matt, I think you're right about Obama wanting to put FOX on the defensive. It's time for us to put THEM on the defensive for a change.
Bishop, I don't think too much of O'Reilly these days... he's a sell-out, as far as I'm concerned.
Amy, great to see you, and thanks! Yes, they certainly are crybabies.
MK, LOL!
Angel, I think this might actually be a GOOD thing... the more he pisses us off, the better, imo.
Yes, the Walter Cronkite era is over and people now actually have a choice between right and left news. The resuls are in and the left is getting it's ass handed to them in the ratings. That's really gotta hurt. The myth of unbiased reporting has always been that, a myth. Yet the dinosaur media still clings to it, hoping we won't notice.
From a blogger I read:
"I turned on the only channel in English I have after the president won the Nobel Peace Prize last week, and twice within five minutes the network pledged to follow the president as he “continues to work for peace.” I turned it off. The real problem is that both networks give us slight variations on the same theme; war propaganda with tough guy rhetoric or war propaganda with touchy-feely rhetoric."
***NEWS ALERT***
MOVEON.ORG DEMANDS DEMOCRATS STAY OFF FOX NEWS!
spread it around!
Amboy, obviously people want NEWS, not propaganda or a presidential mouthpiece.
Constantine, that's a pretty good quote.
Nancz, why am I not surprised. Sigh... I really wish Moveon would MOVE ON...
I just find it all so disturbing. I am so thankful that we have FOX news, and Christian news outlets. Without them, we would be in the dark like the rest of the sheep.
Leticia, I know. Not that FOX is perfect, but at least they report NEWS.
These people who complain that FOX is biased... do they honestly think CNN, ABC, and MSNBC are not???
