Me: I’m a politically conservative Eastern rite (Byzantine) Catholic, hence the title of this blog. I teach, sing in my church's choir, and have a pretty wide range of personal interests: religion, politics, history, music, film, languages, genealogy, science, and computers.

The blog: Here I provide commentary on issues that impact our civilization: politics, economics, religion, the arts, etc. I'm increasingly concerned about the erosion of our freedoms and replacement of personal responsibility by a collectivist nanny state that seeks to run every aspect of our lives. I'm unapologetically Christian, American, capitalist, pro-life, and pro-Constitution.
